Essay Questions
Please answer the following in 100-250 words.
Established in the fall of 2006, 1 Campus 1 Community embodies a commitment to long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between Millsaps College and its off-campus neighbors. Millsaps is a diverse campus community that stands united in its desire to be a good neighbor. It involves the recognition that while we have much to offer, we have much to learn and to gain. This vision of mutual engagement and transformation is at the heart of 1 Campus 1 Community, and Wellspring. To build community, to listen, to respond to articulated need, to break down boundaries and develop face-to-face relationships - that is 1 Campus 1 Community.
If selected to join the program, you will be enrolled in a one-credit academic course each semester. The grade for this course will be determined by the completion of a weekly two-hour volunteer commitment, participation in bi-weekly group reflective discussions and journal entries, and engagement in large-group service opportunities (one or two per semester).

If you choose to discontinue participation in the Wellspring program your housing may be reassigned at the discretion of Student Life and the Director of the Wellspring Program.
